Changing text, prices, pictures and colours yourself

How do I change a piece of text, a price or a picture without the AI?

Open the Text and images tab on the manage screen. Headings, paragraphs, prices, button labels, every picture, the logo, the browser-tab icon and the site’s colours each sit in their own box; type in one, or press Choose a picture under an image, then press Save and go live. No Token is spent. If it goes wrong, Go back to an earlier version restores any of the last twenty saves.

Where to go

Open the manage screen and pick the Text & images tab. Finding that screen is covered in Manage your site.

The text and images tab

Look at the row on top first

Just above the fields is a row labelled "Jump to". There is a button for every kind of thing your site has. Press one and the page moves to that section, and the section you are in is filled in dark.

On a big site this row is what saves you time. You do not have to scroll to find the pictures; press "Pictures".

First: logo and icon

Two things live here.

The favicon, the small picture in the browser tab. Press "Choose a picture" and pick one from your phone or computer. It is cropped square and shrunk for you, because a browser draws it at just sixteen pixels. A logo works best; a wide photo will lose its sides.

The logo itself, if your site has one at the top.

Second: pictures

Every picture on the site gets a card: the picture, a "Choose a picture" button underneath, and its address below that.

To change one, press the button. Your phone's gallery or your computer's folders open. Pick one and the rest happens for you.

Beside each picture is another box: what the picture is, in one line. It earns its keep twice. Someone who cannot see the page has that line read aloud to them. And Google reads it to understand the picture, which is how a photo turns up in image search. Do not leave it empty.

The cards are named from that line, so filling it in is also how you tell your own pictures apart next time.

Third: site colours

The colours your site is built from appear as swatches. Each says how many places use it, so you can tell the button colour from one heading's accent.

Press a swatch and a colour picker opens. Choosing one changes every place at once, so the page never comes out half changed.

Black and white are deliberately left out: they are the site's structure rather than a colour choice, and changing them would wreck the body text and every border.

Fourth: page name and sharing

Two boxes and two previews.

The page name is the line people click in Google, and the words in the browser tab. The one-line description is the line under it.

As you type, two previews update: how Google will show it, and the card a shared link produces on Facebook. That is where you see a title being cut off, before it happens.

The sharing image is here too, and since it is an image field it has an upload button.

Headings, paragraphs and bullet points each get a box. On a shop site the product names and prices are separated out as well.

A button gets two boxes: what it says, and where it goes. Beside the second is a small button that opens the address in a new tab so you can check it.

Links that jump within the page (like #prices) are deliberately not shown: those are page structure, and retyping one breaks your own menu.

The phone number

The phone box behaves differently. Changing it changes every copy on the site: the visible text, the tel: links, and the number inside the WhatsApp button. If one moved and the other did not, a customer would ring the wrong number, so they move together.

Give it as 01XXXXXXXXX.

Saving

A white bar stays at the bottom with Save and go live and a count of your changes.

On a published site, saving publishes. You do not press Publish separately. Another phone may show the old version for up to a minute.

If the site is not published, the button just says Save and your changes are kept.

Undoing a mistake

Below the fields is Go back to an earlier version. Press it and a list opens: what changed and when, the last twenty.

Press "Go back to this" on any of them and the site returns to that state. The current state is kept too, so you can come back from a restore. There is no risk in trying.

After restoring, publish once to put it live.

What this tab cannot do

Those still go through the builder in Bengali, and those cost Token. Roughly: changing what is there happens here, making something new happens in the builder.
