Booking and Appointment Page

How do I make an appointment booking page for a doctor's chamber?

Say in Bangla which days and hours you sit, and the builder makes a booking page where the patient picks a name, a day and a time. Pressing Book opens a WhatsApp message to your number with all the details written in, or dials you directly. You confirm the slot yourself, because the page does not hold bookings on its own.

What you are building

A page that says which days and hours you sit, what the fee is, and where you are. The patient or customer types their name and phone, picks a day and a time, then presses the button at the bottom. Their WhatsApp opens with a message to your number with their name, the day and the time already written. They send it, you look at it and say yes or offer another time.

The booking form and the free slots

Understand this part properly. The page does not hold a slot for anyone, it does not build a list, and if two people ask for the same hour it will not stop either of them. The decision stays with you, and the page only takes the pain out of it. Instead of ten phone calls you get one tidy message, and nobody has to ring you to ask the fee or the address. A salon, a tutor, a minibus rental, a community hall, the same shape works for all of them.

Step by step

Step 1: In the Builder give it a name such as Dr Karim Chamber, then press Start building. You can also start from a template on the apps page: "Doctor's chamber" for a chamber, "Service booking" for a parlour or repairs, "Tuition booking" for coaching; then write only your own details in the box.

Step 2: On paper write which days and hours you sit, how long each person takes, what the fee is, and how to describe the address so people actually find it.

Step 3: Say it in Bangla.

Build an appointment page for Dr Karim's chamber. The doctor's name, speciality and chamber address at the top. Then a line saying Saturday to Wednesday, 5pm to 9pm, fee 800 taka. Below that boxes for the patient's name, age and phone, a box to choose a day, and time buttons every half hour. At the end a Book a slot button that opens a WhatsApp message to 017xxxxxxxx with the patient name, day and time written in. Put a Call us button beside it. All the text in Bangla, blue and white.

Step 4: Press Send. When the page appears, book a pretend slot yourself and check the name, day and time all arrive correctly in the message.

Step 5: Ask for a clear line saying that a slot is only confirmed once you reply. That single sentence saves a great deal of trouble later.

Step 6: Polish as needed.

Remove Friday as a holiday, and write at the bottom that people should confirm by phone before coming.

Step 7: Press Share. Put the link on your visiting card, on the chamber signboard or on your Facebook page. Print the QR code that comes with it and stick it on the chamber door, so a patient can point a camera and read the hours.

Ways to make it better

Mistakes many people make

What to do next

After a few weeks you will see which hours are busiest, so add or remove time slots to match. You can also build a receipt page to hand people, which downloads as a PDF, and that has its own chapter. And if you want to track how many came and what you earned each day, look at the accounts book chapter.

Beginner questions

What if someone books at 3 AM?

That is the whole point, the app never sleeps. The booking waits in your WhatsApp in the morning; confirm with a reply.

What if two people want the same slot?

Both messages arrive, whoever you confirm first gets it. The page cannot hold a slot by itself, because one visitor's choice never reaches another visitor's phone, so deciding who gets it stays your call.

How do I close on holidays?

Say "closed on Fridays" and customers simply cannot pick that day.
