Your own portfolio site
How do I make my own portfolio website for freelancing?
In the Builder, write in Bangla what work you do, how many samples you want to show and how people can reach you. A portfolio site is ready in about a minute, you can upload your own pictures into it, and pressing Share gives you a live link to send to clients. Free on the free Models.
What you are building
A one page portfolio site. Your name and a one line description of what you do at the top, your work samples with pictures below that, then a short about section, and a contact section right at the end. It looks good both on a phone and on a computer.

This works for a designer, a developer, a photographer, a writer, a video editor, anyone. When a client says "show me your earlier work", you just send one link.
Step by step
Step 1: Go to the Builder tab, give the app a name such as "My portfolio", then press to start building.
Step 2: Write down your profession and name your actual pieces of work. Like this:
Build me a portfolio site. My name is Tanvir Hasan, I am a graphic designer and I make logos and social media posts. Name and a one line introduction at the top. Then room for 6 work samples, each with space underneath for the name of the job and the client. Then a short about me section. At the end, contact, with the WhatsApp number 017xxxxxxxx and a link to my Facebook page. Use white, black and a soft orange.
Step 3: Press Send. You will see the site take shape on the right.
Step 4: Now put your real pictures in. Press the picture button by the prompt box, choose a photo of your work, then say "put this picture in the first work slot". You can upload 60 pictures a day.
Step 5: Do the small fixes. "Make the text bigger", "make it look right on mobile", "show the picture large when someone taps it", ask for whatever you need.
Step 6: Press Share and the link is copied. Put it on Facebook, in your Fiverr profile, in a client's inbox, wherever you like.
How to set up the contact section
One thing needs saying plainly here. A built site cannot send anyone an email by itself, so if you sit a pretty form on the page, not one message will ever reach you (With lifetime hosting, though, forms really work with no domain needed: submissions land in the site dashboard inbox with email alerts; see banglacodes.com/docs/hosting-kon-ta). Send contact straight to WhatsApp and to your phone instead. Ask for it like this:
Do not put a form in the contact section. Instead give me one big green button that says talk to me on WhatsApp, and when someone taps it, it should open a chat to my number with the message that they are contacting me after seeing my portfolio. Put another button beside it that dials my number directly.
Now anyone who likes your work is one tap away from talking to you.
Ways to make it better
- Show fewer pieces but better ones. Your best 6 pieces do more for you than 20 average ones.
- Under each piece, write one line about the problem you solved. That builds far more trust than the picture alone.
- If you like the look of some site, paste a screenshot of it into the prompt box and say "build it in this style".
- Keep two languages. Say "add a button at the top that switches the whole site to English", which helps with clients abroad.
- No pictures yet is fine: the first build puts a free Pexels photo, picked to match, in every image slot. Swap in real photos of your work later, on the site manager's "Text and images" tab.
Mistakes people often make
- Adding a form and waiting. As said above, it will not work, go to WhatsApp and phone instead.
- Uploading pictures so large the site is slow to open. Uploads are shrunk down for you automatically, so go ahead and use them.
- Never looking at it on a phone. Most people in Bangladesh will see it on a phone, so open it on yours once.
- Never saying clearly anywhere what your name is or what kind of work you do.
- Passing off someone else's work as your own. Get caught once and that client never comes back.
What to do next
Once the site is ready, put the live link on your Facebook profile, in your Fiverr bio and on your CV. Every time you finish a new job, come back to the Builder and say "add a new work sample", it takes a minute. Going live is free: press "Go live, free" and the site runs at an address in your own name (apnar-site.banglacodes.app), which is the one to put on your CV; putting the site on a domain you bought yourself needs the one-time lifetime hosting of 6,999 BDT. Remember that going live is like taking a snapshot, so if you change something later you press "Update live site".
Beginner questions
I have no big work to show, why a portfolio?
Small work is enough: tuition results, your drawings, a college project. Presented well, small work looks professional, and that presentation is this page’s job.
Can I add new work later?
Yes, say "add a new piece", drop the image, and it joins the gallery. Same link.
How do clients reach me?
A WhatsApp button, your phone number and an email link sit at the bottom; one tap and the message comes straight to you. There is no form, because a built site cannot send mail by itself. If you truly need one, the "Orders, messages and email" guide shows how.
