New pages and blog posts, without knowing HTML
How do I write a new page or blog post without knowing any code?
On the manage screen open Pages & blog and press New blog post, then write the way you write a Facebook post. A blank line starts a paragraph, ## makes a heading, - makes a bullet, **like this** makes bold, [text](address) makes a link, and Add a picture uploads one. A post address starts with blog/, and once there is more than one the /blog/ address builds a list by itself. Business hosting.
What you need
This tab is on every site; how many pages it allows depends on the plan (5 free, 15 on lifetime hosting, 50 on Business, 200 on Commerce). On the manage screen it is Pages & blog.

Page or post
There is no real difference, only the address.
- New page: you choose the address, like
aboutorterms - New blog post: the address starts with
blog/, likeblog/eid-offer
They are two separate buttons so that people find out blogging is possible at all.
Writing
Pressing New blog post gives you three boxes: address, title and the text.
In the text box, write the way you write a Facebook post. A few marks do the formatting:
| What you type | What you get |
| A blank line | A new paragraph |
## Some words | A heading |
### Some words | A smaller heading |
- Some words | A bullet |
1. Some words | A numbered list |
**Some words** | Bold |
[text](address) | A link |
Pressing Enter at the end of a sentence does not start a new paragraph; it stays in the same one. Leave a blank line when you want a new paragraph.
Adding a picture
Press Add a picture and choose one from your phone or computer. It uploads and lands exactly where your cursor was.
If you already have a picture's address, putting it alone on its own line also turns it into that picture.
If you do know HTML
Two buttons sit at the top right: Just write and HTML. If you know HTML, the second one takes it directly.
A page written as HTML reopens in HTML mode. Nothing silently reformats work somebody did by hand.
How people find your posts
Once there is more than one blog post, your site's /blog/ address builds a list of them by itself, newest first.
So a post you write is a post people can reach. If you want a "Blog" link in the site's own menu, ask the builder for it in Bengali.
Make your own page called blog and yours wins instead of the generated list.
Saving
Save and go live puts the page on the live site straight away. There is no separate publish step.
How many pages
The count at the top left shows how many you have and how many you may have. Business allows 50, Commerce 200.
Deleting
Each page in the list has a Delete beside it. Deleting takes the page off the live site immediately and cannot be undone, so you are asked once.
