Why is BanglaCodes hosting cheaper than ordinary hosting?
Ordinary hosting charges 3,000 to 6,000 BDT a year, every year; on BanglaCodes, hosting on your own domain is a one-time 6,999 BDT, for life. SSL is free and automatic, the site runs on a worldwide edge network, and there is no server upkeep at all. Over 5 years ordinary hosting costs 15,000 to 30,000 BDT, while here the cost stays that one payment.
Ownership, not rent
Ordinary hosting is rent: pay every year or the site goes dark. The first year looks cheap, then renewal prices climb. BanglaCodes went the other way: lifetime hosting is a one-time ৳6,999, for life, by bKash, Nagad or card, or from your Token balance. No hosting renewals, no monthly bills, no price-rise letters.
Put the sums side by side
A typical shared hosting plan in Bangladesh runs about 3,000 to 6,000 BDT a year, and things like SSL or backups often cost extra. Over 5 years that is 15,000 to 30,000 BDT; over 10 years, 30,000 to 60,000. On BanglaCodes the cost after 10 years is still the same single ৳6,999.

Not just websites: what you can host here
Everything you can put on your own domain runs on this same hosting:
- Websites: shops, restaurants, schools, agencies, companies, portfolios, landing pages, blogs.
- Web apps and tools: ledgers, inventory, booking, CRM, dashboards, calculators, converters, quizzes, forms.
- Games: 2D canvas games, small 3D scenes, puzzles.
- Document and media tools: CV makers, invoice generators, slide decks, charts, poster and thumbnail makers.
- PWAs: apps you can add to a phone's home screen that open without internet (offline cache).
There are two places data can live: small things (cart, notes, settings, scores) in the browser's own storage (localStorage), on that phone or computer only; and forms and orders, which really are stored on our server, for which you need lifetime hosting (Business or Commerce raise the daily limits), arriving in the site dashboard's inbox.
The hosting is static: know what does not run
Hosting here is static: your HTML, CSS and browser JavaScript files are served from edge servers worldwide. Anything that runs in the visitor's browser works; no separate program runs on the server. So these will not work here:
- PHP, Laravel, WordPress, WooCommerce or anything that depends on PHP. WordPress needs PHP and MySQL, which static hosting does not provide.
- Node.js, Python, Django, Java, .NET or any backend that runs on a server; you cannot run an API server here.
- MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or any database; there is nowhere to run SQL.
- cPanel, FTP, SSH, cron jobs, arbitrary server settings, .htaccess.
- Sending email straight from the site (the PHP mail() pattern). Form alerts by email come with lifetime hosting, and then our server sends the mail.
- Visitor login or account systems on the server, or uploading files to be stored on the server.
- Processing card payments inside the site. To take money you place your own gateway's payment link (SSLCommerz, aamarPay, bKash) and the money goes straight to your gateway; cash on delivery works as it is.
So how do you run a shop? Everything most Bangladeshi shops need is here: product pages, cart, checkout, cash on delivery and an order inbox come with this lifetime hosting; buyer SMS and courier order files come with the Commerce plan. Outside services that run from the browser (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Tawk.to chat, Calendly, YouTube, Google Maps, payment links) can be added too.
Why the speed and security come built in
Your site sits on one of the world's largest edge networks, which means a visitor in Dhaka is served from near Dhaka and a visitor in London from near London. The HTTPS padlock comes on by itself, attacks like DDoS are absorbed by the network, and no server updates or patches ever land on your shoulders. On ordinary hosting, each of those costs either money or labour.
How to switch it on
- Publish the app, which is free (three sites live at once). Putting it on a domain you own does need the lifetime hosting fee, and buying that makes the account Pro.
- Type your own address into the domain button and set the CNAME shown in your DNS.
- At verification the one-time fee (2,449,650 Token) is taken from your balance. That is it: you never pay again.
Remember: the domain's own price (around a thousand BDT a year for a .com) goes to wherever you bought the domain; no hosting company can waive that. We waived our part: the hosting.
