App Memory, Files and Import

How do I make my app always remember my shop name and phone number?

Add rules, memory and reference files in the app panel, and the AI will follow them every time it builds, so you never have to repeat yourself. These apply only to that one app. You can also bring in earlier work from a folder on your computer or from a GitHub repo.

The app can remember things on its own

You will not have to type out the shop name, the phone number or the pricing rules every single time. Press next to the app's name to open the app panel, where you will find three things:

These only apply inside that one app, not in your other apps. The result: even when you say something short, the AI keeps every little detail of your business right.

Many chats in one app

You can run separate discussions inside the same app (up to 20 of them). One chat for the homepage, say, and another for the order form. You switch from the chips at the top, and pressing new chat starts a clean one.

Bringing in your earlier work

From your computer: on the apps page, under the box for a new app, it says "Or start from code you already have" with three buttons beside it. Press "Folder from computer" and pick the folder, or, if the codebase is a .zip, press "Zip file" and give the zip itself, no unzipping needed. Chrome on a phone cannot pick a folder, so on a phone the zip is the easy way. The "+" menu of any folder on the left has the same three ways, and the new app then sits in that folder. Folders with thousands of files are fine: we take in the whole structure, then open the files that actually explain the app (README, package.json, index or main files, config). Clutter like node_modules, dist and .git is left out.

From GitHub: press "GitHub repo" and give the repo name (owner/repo, for example) or the full link. Even for a public repo you will need to have added a GitHub Token in Settings first. The whole repo, folder structure included, gets read in.

For safety, hidden files like .env and keys or certificates are never imported.

Downloading the whole app

Press the Download (ZIP) button on the code tab and every file comes down as one ZIP (including the images used). The code is yours, and you can take it away whenever you like.

Backing up to GitHub

Once you put a GitHub Token in Settings, the GitHub button at the top of the app gives you two actions: send to GitHub (push) and bring from GitHub (pull). Before bringing anything in, the current state is saved into a version, so there is nothing to fear. This works on the free plan too.

Beginner questions

Memory versus rules, what is the difference?

Memory is facts (shop name, prices, phone), rules are orders (always Bangla, keep it green). Both are honored on every build.

Can I copy everything over from an old site?

Import the folder from your computer, give the .zip itself with "Zip file" if it is all in one zip, or bring the repo from GitHub, and the text-type files come in. Then ask for changes on top of it.

What if something wrong ends up in memory?

Open memory and rules, delete or fix the line yourself, it applies immediately.
