How Token Works
What is a Token on BanglaCodes and when does it get used up?
Working with a free Model costs no Token at all. Token is spent on Premium Models, HD images, reels and every Android app after the first; hosting and plans can be bought straight with money. On free Models you can use up to 400,000 AI Token per day, and once you hit that limit it resets fresh the next day. Token you buy is yours for life.
What is a Token?
In one line: building with a free Model costs no Token at all. Token is spent on Premium Models, HD images and reels, and on every Android app after the first. Hosting and the Business/Commerce plans you can buy straight with money (bKash, Nagad, card), or out of your Token balance if you hold enough. If you only want to build, it costs you nothing.
What you get for free
Building apps, chatting and learning with a free Model is completely free. Nothing is deducted from your balance, and there is no accounting to keep. Every day you can use up to 400,000 AI Token on free Model, which is far more than everyday work needs: you can comfortably run 15 to 25 big builds a day depending on how busy the free models are, and many more small edits, in a day. That 400,000 is separate from your Token balance (wallet), nothing gets taken from there. It only tells you how much you can use on free Model. When the limit runs out, it starts fresh again tomorrow.
Why free? Because the free Model run on the free tiers of Google, Groq and OpenRouter, so they cost us no cash. If something costs us nothing, it is not right to charge for it.
What Token is, and when you need it
Token (credit, wallet balance) is needed to run a Premium Model, meaning Claude, GPT-5.5, Gemini Pro, DeepSeek V4 Pro and the like. HD images, reels and every Android app after the first take Token too. Site hosting (lifetime hosting on your own domain, and the Business or Commerce plans) can be bought straight with money, by bKash, Nagad or card, or out of your Token balance if you hold enough (see banglacodes.com/docs/hosting-kon-ta). Those are one-time costs, not daily ones. Premium Models run on real money, so these are the ones with a price. The rate is written right in the Model list, for example DeepSeek V4 Pro 256 Token/1K, Sonnet 1200 Token/1K.
Premium always has to be run on Token you have bought. There is no free daily Token, because there is a real cost behind Premium, and giving it away free to lakhs of free users would make the service impossible to keep running. Use free Model as much as you like, and if you want to move up to Premium, buy a Token pack.
Remember: bought Token is yours for life, it stays in your balance for life.
The trick for spending nothing
Go to Settings and put in your own API Key (Google and Groq give Key for free). Whatever you run on your own Key costs zero. Yes, zero. The easiest is Google Gemini: under "Providers & API keys" in Settings, press "Get key" for Google Gemini, sign in with your own Google account, press "Create API key" and copy the key, then put it in with "Add key". When today's free limit runs out, the "Use your own free key" button on the limit card brings you here too, and after adding the key, "Back to where you were" takes you back with your words still in the box.

You can also pick your own amount (Custom), anywhere from 100,000 to 35,000,000 Token. The more you take, the better the rate: from 200 up to 350 Token per 1 BDT.

Where to see the accounting
Go to the "Token" page for the whole picture: how much you have now, how much went on which day (a 14 day chart), which Model used how much, and a ledger of where every Token came from or went.
In chat, hover your mouse or finger over the coin icon beside each answer and you can see which Model took how many Token. The full accounting is always on the Token page. And if you pick a Premium Model, we show you the estimated cost underneath while you are still writing, so there is no surprise after you send.
The limits at a glance
- 100 apps per account, 20 chats per app
- Up to 500 separate chat sessions (delete the old ones and there is room again)
- Up to 30 folders for organising chats
- 20 free AI images per day
- On a free account an app is kept for 60 days from the last edit, then a year in "deleted apps"; on Pro forever (a published site is exempt and never expires)
It does not forget, even in long chats
When a conversation gets long, the AI keeps the last 16 messages word for word and summarises everything older on its own. So the thread of the discussion survives, and because the whole history is not sent every time, Token spending goes down too. You do not have to do anything, it just happens.
A summary does not hold every detail, though. If something specific from much earlier still matters, an exact colour code say, tell it again, or better, write it into the app's rules. Anything in the rules is never forgotten.
If you have a Promo code
If you get a code for a discount or extra Token, go to the Pricing page or the purchase box, put it in the "Have a Promo code?" field and press "Use it". If it is valid, it immediately shows you what you are getting, such as "20% extra Token" or "10% off the price". If it is wrong or expired, it tells you that clearly too, instead of quietly charging you full price.
Bonuses that arrive without any code
Some bonuses need no code at all; they are added on their own when the condition is met. Only one bonus applies per order, and it is always the biggest one.
- Your first purchase: 20% extra Token on your first ever order, once.
- Inviting a friend: when someone signs up with your link and buys for the first time, you and your friend each get 8% of that purchase in Token, up to 8,000, for up to 20 people.
- Building daily: a 7-day streak earns 500, 30 days earns 2,000 and 100 days earns 5,000 Token, each once.
Pack accounting, out in the open
If a pack has a bonus, it is written out separately, like "250,000 + 50,000 bonus". Nothing is hidden. And if you want to pick your own amount, the slider lets you buy any quantity, with a better rate the more you take (starting at 1 BDT = 200, then 1 BDT = 300 from 300,000, and 1 BDT = 350 from 1,000,000).
Share and get extra Token
Build an app and press "Share" and a small panel appears: share the prepared text on Facebook or WhatsApp and you can collect 500 bonus Token. The bonus unlocks once at least 3 people open the link you shared. Once per app, 5 times in total. Bonus Token does not expire.
How long an app is kept
On a free account each app is kept for 60 days after the last edit; open it once in between and change something, and the 60 days start counting again. Even past that the app is not lost: it sits in "deleted apps" for a year and one press brings it back. If you are Pro (which you become by buying any pack) your apps stay forever, with no expiry to think about. Pushing important work to GitHub is a smart move too, and there is a separate chapter guiding you through that. A published site is outside this count: once it is live it is never swept.
Beginner questions
Could I accidentally run a premium model and get charged?
No. Premium simply does not run without purchased Token, and premium models show their cost on the picker. A balance of 0 has nothing to cut.
If I use up today, is tomorrow smaller?
No, every day starts fresh with the whole allowance again, up to 400,000. Heavy use today never touches tomorrow.
Can Token be saved up?
Purchased Token is yours for life, keep it as long as you like. The daily free share does not carry over though, that one is per-day.
