Cash memo, invoice or money receipt: which one when

An invoice is given after the goods or work are handed over, to ask for the money. A cash memo or money receipt is given after the money is paid, as proof. In a cash sale both happen at once, so a shop uses a single cash memo; on credit you need the two papers separately.

If you need a separate money receipt, ask for a second page in the same app: received from whom, how much, for what, and how (cash, bKash or bank).

Cash memos and order slips for tailors

A tailor gets paid in two steps: an advance on the measuring day, the rest on delivery. So a tailor's memo needs an order number, the customer's name and phone, which garments and how many, the making charge, the advance, the balance and the delivery date. Put those boxes in your description and the memo app is built that way.

What is a cash memo, and how is it different from an invoice?

A cash memo is proof that money was received, handed to the buyer at the sale. An invoice asks for payment, after the goods or work are delivered. In a cash sale one paper does both; on credit you need two.

Can I design a cash memo for free?

Can I print the memo?
