Chat: Questions, Notes and Files

What can I actually do with chat on BanglaCodes?

In chat you can ask questions, learn to code, understand errors, turn material into study notes and create files like PDFs and slides. Attach a PDF with the file button, or paste a web page or YouTube link with the link button, and it turns them into simple Bengali notes. If you share a chat, other people can only read it.

Builder, chat and app are three different things

Chat: type a question and the answer comes back

If you want to learn to code, understand an error, find out "what is React", or make notes for an exam, chat is the right place.

Start from the buttons under the box: image, video, poster and CV; the rest sit in the "More" menu beside them: Research paper and thesis, Facebook post, biodata, thumbnail, logo, slides, invoice, letter, script, ebook, quiz, chart, notes, article and assignment; website, shop, app or game take you straight to the builder. Type first and then press a button, and it starts from what you typed.

For today's news, a price or a new rule, the chat searches the web by itself and lists the links under a "Sources" heading at the end of the answer; that runs for 3 to 5 questions per person per day.

What you get

Tidy up your Prompt (✨): wrote it all over the place? Press the magic wand button and the AI will turn your text into one clean prompt. Then send it.

Speak instead of typing (🎙): if typing is a chore, press the mic button and speak, and it becomes text. The mic listens for English at first; to speak Bengali, press the "EN" chip beside it once to switch (on a phone, "Change voice language" in the box's + menu), and it remembers next time. Works in Chrome and Edge.

Beginner vs Pro (mode): in beginner mode the AI explains things step by step in simple terms and ends with practice ideas. In Pro mode the answers are shorter and deeper. You can switch whenever you like.

Pick a Model: press the Model's name in the row under the message box (on a phone, "AI model" in the box's + menu) and choose any Model there, or just leave it on "auto (free)".

Send with Enter: press Enter and the message goes; for a new line use Shift+Enter. And when you copy an answer you get clean text (no ** or ## marks), ready to paste straight into Facebook or WhatsApp.

PDF / Print: every answer has a "PDF / Print" button under it. It lays the answer out on an A4 page with the Bengali font, tables and pictures, and opens the print page; print it from there, or choose "Save as PDF" to keep a PDF. For an application letter, notes, a routine or a CV you want on paper, this is the easy way. An app or a video inside an answer does not print; open it in the chat and use its own button. On an iPhone the page opens in a new tab.

Edit a message, answer again: if a message you sent has a mistake, press "Edit message" under it, fix it, then send it again. If you do not like the last answer, press "Answer again" and a fresh answer to the same question comes.

Study notes from a PDF, a webpage or a video

Press the file button under the text box and give it a PDF or a text file (a book chapter, a research paper, class notes). The PDF is read right inside your browser, the file is not even uploaded to our servers. Then write "make short exam notes from this".

Press the link button and give a webpage address and it will read the text (up to the first 15,000 characters, which is enough for most writing). Give a YouTube video link and it will make notes from the video's subtitles (only if the video has captions; if it does not, it will tell you clearly).

No need for the Link button: paste the address into your message and it is read when you send, on any Model, your own API key included. If a page cannot be opened you are told, and the message still goes. More in Answers from a PDF, a scanned book or a link.

An English paper can be brought down to a few lines of simple Bengali. For students this is the single most useful thing here.

One thing to keep in mind: 30,000 characters of a file and 15,000 of a link are read, so with a very long text the last part can get left out. For a big paper, give it chapter by chapter and the result will be far better.

A PDF made from photos or a scan keeps its text inside pictures. The chat then attaches the whole PDF as one file, up to 12 pages, and a Model that can read pictures answers from every page. If there are more pages, the chat says how many were left out, so send the rest in another message. Reference files in the builder or a folder cannot take such a PDF; copy the text into a .txt there instead.

Making files right inside chat

Say "make an invoice PDF", "make a 5 slide presentation", "make a chart from this data" and the thing itself appears inside the chat, with a download button. PDF, PPTX slides, PNG, GIF, short video (.webm), CSV, all of it works.

Ask for a logo or a diagram and it will show up as an image that you can download as PNG or SVG. And once you like something, press "Build app" and it becomes a real app that you can publish or share.

Making images

Press the "Make an image" button next to the text box, write what you want, and the AI will make the image. Completely free, no Token is spent. The download button is right there.

Sharing a chat

Press "Share" at the top of a chat and a link gets copied (something like banglacodes.com/s/...). Whoever opens it can read the last 200 messages, but cannot change anything or write in it.

It is great for teaching someone. The link will not show up in Google, and the moment you press "Stop sharing" it stops working. Do remember that turning it off and back on mints a new link; the old one stops working for good, so anyone you already sent it to will need the new one.

Chats name themselves

After you send the first message the AI gives the chat a short name on its own, so it is easy to find in the list on the side. If you do not like it, press "Rename" in that chat's menu in the side list. To find an old chat, type a word of its name in the "Search chats" box above the list; it searches the names of chats and folders, not what is written inside them.

Beginner questions

Chat versus builder, which one when?

For a website or an app, the builder. For learning something or making a file, the chat. Chat does not build sites, but it does make PDFs, slides, images and short videos, and it answers anything.

Do silly questions waste Token?

Chat on free models is free within the daily quota. There is no such thing as a stupid question, ask away.

Do old chats disappear?

No, they all sit in the left-hand list. Up to 500 are kept, deleting old ones frees space.
