GIFs and small animations
How do I make a GIF with Bengali text to post on Facebook?
Say in Bangla what should move and how many seconds it runs, and use the word GIF. The builder creates the motion and gives you a download button. Keep it three to six seconds. The file is small, it needs no sound, it plays by itself in comments and on WhatsApp, and it downloads fine on iPhone.
What a GIF actually is
A GIF is a tiny moving picture. A few seconds long, no sound, and it loops by itself. Post it in a Facebook comment, on WhatsApp or in an email, and nobody has to press play, it simply starts moving in front of them. On BanglaCodes you describe in Bangla what should move, and the builder makes it and gives you a way to download it as a GIF file.
When a GIF beats a video
- For Facebook comments. Putting a video in a comment is awkward, a GIF drops right in.
- For sending on WhatsApp. Small file, and it goes through even on a weak network.
- When the file must stay small. A few seconds of GIF is lighter than a video.
- When sound is not needed. A GIF has no sound at all, so it still makes sense on mute.
- For downloading on iPhone. Saving a video on iPhone can fail, a GIF does not.
- When you want it to repeat. A logo or a "just arrived" line looping catches the eye.
Know the other side too. A GIF shows slightly fewer colours, and anything longer than ten seconds makes the file heavy. For something long, a video is the better choice.
Step by step
Step 1: In the Builder tab give it a name such as "Shop GIF" and press "Start building".
Step 2: Write in Bangla what should move, how many seconds it runs, and say clearly that you want a GIF.
Make a small 4 second GIF for my bookshop. On a cream background a book opens and closes, with Bangla text beside it reading "Boi Porun". It should keep looping. Set the Bengali font properly and give me a button to download the GIF.
Step 3: Press "Send". You will see the motion playing on the right.

Step 4: Polish it by asking in Bangla. "Make it slower", "make the text bigger", "make the background yellow".
Step 5: Press the download button and the GIF file is saved. Now send it wherever you like.
Small animations that always come in handy
The little looping things are the most useful of all. A logo fading in, an "open now" sign blinking, an arrow nudging downwards, a "50% off" line gently growing and shrinking, or a spinner. Three or four seconds is plenty for these.
Make a 3 second GIF where a deep red round badge with white Bangla text saying "50% chhar" pulses slightly bigger and smaller. Keep the background transparent, and give me a way to download it as a GIF.

Tricks that make it look better
- Three to six seconds. That is the sweet spot, longer only makes the file heavy.
- Keep colours few. Two or three colours make a GIF much cleaner and lighter.
- Make the text big. Small text in a GIF is unreadable on a phone screen.
- Match the start and the end. Then the loop joint never catches the eye.
- You can ask for a transparent background. It will sit on a post of any colour.
Mistakes many people make
- Forgetting to say the word GIF. Without it you may get a video, so say it up front.
- Asking for a half minute GIF. The file gets so heavy it is painful to send, that is a video job.
- Asking for music in a GIF. A GIF cannot carry sound at all, make a video if you need it.
- Cramming in lots of text. More than one line and nobody finishes reading it.
- Not asking for a download button. Without asking it is often missing, so say it.
What to do next
Once you have the GIF, send it to your own WhatsApp first and check that it plays properly. If you like it, make a longer video and a poster in the same style. Keep the same colours and the same words, and together they start to look like your shop's own identity.
Beginner questions
GIF or video, which one?
GIF for small looping things (logos, names, wishes), video when there is sound or a story. GIFs have no sound.
What if the GIF is too heavy to send?
Ask for a smaller size and fewer colors, it slims right down. Saying "make the file smaller" is enough.
Can the speed change?
Yes, "slower" or "faster" is all it takes.
