Online Payment and Carts on Your Site
Can my built shop take money online?
Yes, but an outside payment service takes the money, not our site. The simplest path: get a payment link from a gateway and put it behind a "Pay now" button, which covers both bKash and cards with no code. For a full cart, a service like Snipcart or Ecwid can be pasted into the Business plan Header/Footer code boxes; those work properly on your own domain.
One thing to be clear about first
A site built on BanglaCodes is static, meaning it has no server of its own. So the site cannot take money itself, and it cannot hold card details either, which is just as well. An outside payment service takes the money and the site simply sends the buyer there. That is how most small shops in the world work, and it means card details never touch your site at all.

Easiest to hardest below.
Path 1: order form and cash on delivery (free, the most used)
Most buyers in Bangladesh still want to pay when the goods arrive. Put an order form on the site; with lifetime hosting the orders land in the site dashboard inbox with email alerts. No gateway fee, no setup.
Good for: a new shop, few orders, delivery in an area you know.
Path 2: payment links (the most realistic in Bangladesh)
Local gateways (SSLCommerz, aamarPay, or bKash's merchant services, for example) can issue a hosted payment link, which is really just an address. Put that address behind a "Pay now" button. The buyer taps it, pays on the gateway's own page with bKash, Nagad or a card, and comes back.
Ask for it in Bangla like this:
Put a "Pay now" button on every product card, linking to https://... (the link from your gateway).
Why this suits here best: no JavaScript is needed, so it works even on the share link, and the local payment methods people actually use all arrive this way. How to create the link is something to ask your gateway; that part is their service.
"How do I add bKash to my site?"
The question asked most, and the answer depends on what you have:
| What you have | What to do |
| Only a personal bKash number | Save it in the site manager, on the Business and look tab under "bKash, Nagad and Rocket numbers", as Personal. The order pages then show the number, a copy button and a box for the TrxID by themselves; the buyer sends the money and types the TrxID, which comes with the order, and you match it in the bKash app. No AI needed, details. |
| A bKash Merchant account | Take a payment link from the merchant app or panel and put it behind the "Pay now" button above. The money goes straight to your merchant account. Without a link, save the merchant number in the same place as Merchant, and buyers make a Payment and type the TrxID. |
| An SSLCommerz or aamarPay account | Their hosted link already carries bKash, Nagad, Rocket and cards together; there is nothing separate to add for bKash. |
Paying BanglaCodes for Token with bKash is a different thing; that is in the Paying and getting Token guide.
Path 3: a drop-in cart (services like Snipcart or Ecwid)
If you want a real cart (several items, stock, coupons, customer accounts), some services work by pasting in a snippet of code. Put that snippet in the Header/Footer code boxes on the Business plan's "Code" tab and it lands on every page.
One important condition: carts like these work on a published site, whether that is the free address (apnar-site.banglacodes.app) or your own domain (aiinbangla.com). Only our free share link is run separately for safety, and an outside cart's scripts will not work correctly there. So the condition costs nothing, it is one step: publish the site first.
These services have their own monthly fees and transaction commissions, and many of them do not support local payment methods. Check that bKash/Nagad work before you commit.
Path 4: your own backend (for developers)
If you have a developer, an open-source headless commerce engine such as Medusa, Saleor or Vendure can run on your own server and be called from this site over an API. The site stays here (fast, hosting already paid for), while the shop's brain lives on your server.
Good for: a large catalogue, custom rules, a company with its own developer.
Which one to pick
| Situation | Path |
| Just starting, few orders | 1, order form and COD |
| Want online payment without fuss | 2, payment links |
| Many products, a real cart | 3, drop-in cart + your own domain |
| Custom rules and a developer | 4, your own backend |
Beginner questions
Does BanglaCodes take a commission on my sales?
No, none at all. Your buyer's money goes straight to your gateway or your hand; we are not in that transaction. You pay us only for hosting and the AI.
Will card details be stored on my site?
No, and that is the right answer. Card details always go on the gateway's own page. That keeps the PCI burden theirs, not yours.
Why is the cart not working on the share link?
The free share link is run separately for safety, so outside scripts are limited there. Publish the site and the problem goes away, on the free address as much as on your own domain.
