If I say "make me a banner", can I get one at print size?
Yes. Write the exact words for the banner and give the size: how many feet wide and how many feet high, or a Facebook page cover. The words are set in a real Bengali font, so no conjunct breaks, and the banner downloads as a PNG. The design is free here; a print shop of your choice does the printing.
Three steps to a banner, from your phone
- Give the words and the size: The exact words, and how big: in feet, in pixels, or a Facebook cover.
- Hold it far away and read: When the banner appears, hold the phone at arm's length and see whether it still reads. If not, say "fewer words, bigger name".
- Download the PNG and print: Press the download button and the banner lands on your phone as a picture. Post it on Facebook, or have a print shop print it on flex.
No more sitting at the print shop to get a banner designed
Needing a banner usually means sitting beside someone at the print shop while it is designed, and finding the spelling mistake after it is printed. Making one yourself with AI brings a different problem: the Bengali comes out broken, and the banner comes out square, not wide enough to hang over a shopfront.
Here you say what the banner says and how big it is, and it is laid out at that wide size, with the words in a real Bengali font. Before it goes to print, you can look and change it as often as you need.
A banner is read from far away: fewer words, bigger letters
People read a poster on the phone in their hand. They read a banner from the street, walking past or from a rickshaw. What they can read in two or three seconds is all the banner gets to say.
- The name or the main message on one line, the largest thing on the banner
- At most one line under it: what you sell, or the offer
- The phone number and address in bold, on one line
- White or yellow words on a dark background; light on light vanishes at a distance
- Two or three products, not ten; people will see the rest when they come in
Print banner sizes: say it in feet, ask the shop for the file size
Printed banners are measured in feet: 6 feet by 3, or 10 feet by 3 for a signboard. Say the size that way when you write, and the width and height keep the right proportion.
The bigger the banner, the bigger the file it needs. Ask the shop first: "how many pixels do you need for a banner this size?" After downloading, open the picture's details in your gallery and check the size; if it is too small, ask the builder to make it larger.

The Facebook page cover: a wide banner for the screen
A Facebook page cover is a banner too, only for the screen. On a computer the whole width shows, but a phone crops a little off each side. So ask for the page name and the main message in the middle, with only colour or pattern at the edges.
Write "Facebook page cover size". The chat can make covers too: give it the words and ask it to "make a cover with this text, Facebook page cover size". The words are set in a Bengali font, a download button appears, and it does not count against the day's pictures.
What each banner needs: shops, admissions, Eid, mahfils
Shop signboards and offer banners. On a signboard the shop name is largest, with one line on what you sell and the phone number; no offers, because a signboard stays up for years. An offer banner is different: the discount largest, with the last day.
Tailors and coaching centres. A tailor's banner says what gets stitched (three-piece suits, blouses, panjabis) and how many days delivery takes. A coaching banner says which classes, which subjects and the batch times; for a banner, a leaflet and a site together, see the coaching centre page.
Admission banners. "Admission open" is the largest line, then which class or session, then the institution's name and address. On a gate, make the number bold: parents take a photo as they pass.
Eid and mahfil banners. An Eid banner carries the greeting and the shop or organisation name, any offer on one line. A mahfil banner for the gate carries the mahfil's name, the date and weekday, and the main speaker's name with his title, spelt exactly as you gave it.
Birthday banners. The name and "Happy Birthday" in large type, with a photo if you like. Give the builder the photo and the words sit beside it; never ask for words drawn inside the picture.
How much is a banner per foot? Design and printing are separate costs
The per-foot price of a banner is the printing price, and the print shop sets it: flex or cloth, how big, how many, how soon. We do not print, so we will not quote a rate; ask two or three shops for the same size.

How much text should a banner have?
As little as you can: the name or main message on one line, one line under it, and the phone number. People on the street look for two or three seconds at most.
Where do I find banner templates?
You do not need to hunt for one. Say in Bangla what the banner is for and what it says, and the AI lays it out; if you do not like it, say "try another style" or "change the colours".
Will a banner look blurry when printed large?
The words are set in a font, so they stay sharp at the size the file is made. Blur comes from printing a small file very large, so make it at the size the print shop asks for.
