If I design a logo from a name, will the Bengali name stay perfect, with no broken letters?
It will. A name logo is not drawn by a picture AI; it is written in a real Bengali font, so headstrokes and conjuncts stay whole and the spelling is exactly as you typed it. Three steps to a logo from a name
- Write the name exactly: In quotes, exactly as it should appear, in Bangla, English or both. Add what the name is for and which colours.
- Compare the three colourways: Three logos appear in the chat, each in its own colours, with the colour codes and font names beside them. To change the font, say "give me a slightly bolder font".
- Download PNG and SVG: Keep the PNG of your favourite for Facebook and WhatsApp and the SVG for printing. Read the spelling once more after downloading.
Why Bengali letters break in name logo designs
Many people type "a logo with my name" into an AI picture app and get something that looks Bengali from afar and turns into meaningless marks up close. A picture AI does not write letters; it draws shapes, and Bengali headstrokes, reph and conjuncts fall apart in its hands. When the name is the whole logo, one broken letter ruins it.
Here the name is set in a real font, the way a book is printed. Type a conjunct and that exact conjunct stays. So keeping the spelling right depends only on what you type, not on any drawing.
Long names, short names: how to lay out a name logo
- One or two word names: "Rahat", "Nokshi", "Prottoy". The whole name large, on one line. Names like these are the easiest logos to remember.
- Three or four word names: "Modhuban Mishtanno Bhandar". Make the word people actually say big and the rest small underneath. Write "Modhuban big, the rest small".
- A name with a place: "Cumilla", "Mirpur 10". Keep the place out of the logo itself and on a separate small line, so a new branch does not mean a new logo.
- A personal name logo: photographers, tutors, henna artists, freelancers. The full name on one line, the work small underneath: "Photography", "Maths teacher".
- An initials logo: for a long name, ask for an initial too, like "M" in Bengali or "TR" in English. It is what works in Facebook's round profile picture and as an app icon.
Fonts for a name logo: which suits which work
In a name logo the font is the whole design, so choose it by eye. A bold, upright font gives a shop, a telecom, a hardware store or a coaching centre a solid, trustworthy feel. A thin, light font looks elegant for photography, a boutique or jewellery. A rounded font looks sweet for children's things and food.
With a Bengali and an English name together, the two fonts are matched in height so neither looks out of place beside the other. Each logo carries its font names; name the same fonts later for a poster or card and everything will match.
Colours and the three versions of a name logo
The chat shows three logos of the same name in three different colourways, none with more than two colours. The colour codes are written beside them, like the code for a deep green; give that code to the press when printing a signboard or banner and the colour will match.
Ask for a black-only version too. On a rubber stamp, a black-and-white photocopy or the top of a cash memo a coloured logo turns into a grey smudge; the black version stays crisp there. Ask for a white version for dark grounds as well.
Name logos for madrasas, mosques and organisations
- The full name, spelled right: write exactly the spelling in the institution's registered name. Two spellings on the signboard and the logo of the same institution catch parents' eyes.
- The founding year: to show "established" with a year, type the year yourself; the AI will not invent one.
- Arabic text: for an Arabic name or verse in the logo, give it yourself as accurate text, and have someone who knows it read the result after downloading.
- Stamps and letterheads: at these places the logo goes mostly on the letterhead and the stamp. Once the logo is done, make the pad on the office pad design page.
Does a name logo become my trademark?
No. Making a logo does not make it a legally registered trademark, and BanglaCodes does not register anything. You can use the logo anywhere in your own business, and we make no claim on it. To register it, ask at the Department of Patents, Designs and Trademarks (DPDT) under the Ministry of Industries, or take a lawyer's advice.
Before making the logo, search the name once on Facebook and Google to see whether another shop in your area uses it. If the name is not settled yet, pick one first on the shop name page.
Is name logo design free?
Yes. A name logo is not drawn by the picture AI, so it does not count against the day's pictures; the chat answer comes from the daily free AI Token, up to 400,000 a day. A few changes to the font, colour or layout usually fit inside that, with no name logo app to install.

Do I need an app to make a logo from a name?

Will the name logo be in a Bengali font?
