Facebook's own help page says the cover must be at least 400 x 150 pixels, and an 851 x 315 pixel picture loads fastest. Write the page name, one line and that size in the chat; the words are set in a real Bengali font and the cover downloads as a PNG. Then you upload it to your page.
Three steps to a Facebook cover photo design
- Write the name, one line and the size: The page name, the one message for the cover, and "851 x 315". Without the size it comes at a poster size, so do not forget it.
- Check the middle: The cover appears in the chat. Check the name and key words sit in the middle; if not, say "bring the text to the middle".
- Download the PNG and put it on the page: Press the download button. Then on your Facebook page, tap the cover, upload the new photo, drag it into place and save.
Does your Facebook cover get cropped and lose its words?

- Phone and computer differ: Facebook says the cover shows at about 2.4:1 on phones and at a different shape on computers, left-aligned and running edge to edge in both. So keep nothing important at the side edges.
- The profile picture overlap: on phones the profile picture rises about 40 pixels into the cover. Keep words away from the bottom, where the profile picture sits.
- PNG when there is text: a cover with a logo or words can come out better as a PNG, which is also Facebook's own advice. The cover here downloads as a PNG.
What to write on a cover photo, and what not to
The cover is the page's signboard, not an ad leaflet. The page name, and one line on what you do or where: "Tangail handloom, delivery across the country", "classes six to ten", "real Bengali food". Write more and nothing can be read on a small phone cover.
Put the phone number and address in the page's info section rather than on the cover; there a customer can call with one tap. Prices and running offers on the cover go stale the day the offer ends; make a separate poster for offers and post it.
Cover photo design ideas by business
- Clothing and saree pages: a photo of your own fabric as the ground, with the page name on a dark band. Keep the fabric to the right in the photo, the name in the middle.
- Food shop or restaurant: a real photo of your food if you have one, otherwise a warm one-colour ground with the name large. Opening hours small, on one line.
- Coaching and schools: a calm blue or green, the name and which classes or exams. If you use students' photos, ask their parents first.
- Mosque, madrasa or organisation: the name and the founding year, calm colours, little ornament. For Arabic calligraphy, give an accurate image you already have.
- Personal brand, YouTuber or teacher: a clear photo of yourself on the right, and on the left your name and one line on what you teach or make.
The page's profile picture and logo, matched to the cover
The page profile picture sits beside the cover, and Facebook crops it to a circle. Facebook's advice: upload it at 320 x 320 pixels for the best look; it shows at 176 x 176 on computers and 196 x 196 on phones. A long name gets cut in a circle, so use initials or a small symbol for the profile and keep the full name on the cover.
No logo yet? Make one first on the name logo page, then ask for the cover's colours to be taken from it. When the profile picture, cover and posts share the same two colours, people know the page from far away.
What a cover photo costs
Nothing. The chat answer comes from the daily free AI Token, up to 400,000 a day, and a few changes to the words or colours usually fit inside it. It does not count against the day's pictures either, because the words are set in a font rather than drawn by a picture AI.
