Translating, in three steps
- Give the text and where it goes: Paste the Bengali text, or send a photo of the paper. Add one line on where the translation is going: an email, a page post, an office document or a visa letter.
- The translation and a table of changes: The full English translation comes, with a table of three to five lines under it: your line, the new line, and why it changed. Anything English does not say that way is pointed out separately.
- Check it, then copy: Check names, dates and numbers against the original. Then copy it into your email or post, or print it on an A4 page with the "PDF / Print" button under the answer.
Translation apps match words, not meaning
Give a whole email to a translation app and you often get English that is grammatically fine but that no English speaker would write. A polite Bengali opening turns into a long, heavy sentence; a gentle "please have a look" turns into an order. The reader understands, but you come across as clumsy.
Here the AI reads the whole message and writes its meaning, not its words. It also tells you what it changed and where, so you can write it yourself next time.
What to tell the AI for each kind of translation
- Office email: say who it goes to (boss, client, HR); the tone stays polite and direct, with the real point in the first line
- Facebook page or website text: say who reads it; selling copy works best with short sentences and simple words
- Product descriptions: size, colour, fabric and price stay exactly as given; only the language changes
- School or coaching notices: ask for dates and times on their own lines so parents see them at a glance
- A letter or SOP section going abroad: ask to keep it in your own words; very grand vocabulary reads as made up to a visa officer
English to Bengali in the same chat

Keep the photo straight and well lit, and send only a few pages per message. Handwriting and blurred print are easier to misread, so check names and numbers there yourself.
Where it will not do: certificates and official papers
A translation of a birth registration, certificate, mark sheet or land deed for an embassy, university or court usually has to be notarised or signed by a recognised translator. An AI translation cannot carry that signature. Ask the office you are submitting to which kind they need.

Check three things before you send or print
- Names and spellings: names of people, shops and places should match your papers exactly; take the passport spelling as right
- Dates and amounts: the 10th stays the 10th, and no month changes
- Blanks: the AI does not invent what the original lacks, it leaves a [ ] blank; fill those in before sending
Questions about translation
Is Bengali to English translation free here?
