A PDF summary and notes, in three steps

Give the PDF or the link: Give the PDF with the File button by the text box; on a phone it is in the + menu. For a web page, pasting its address into the message is enough. Say which class or what the summary is for.
Notes come in a fixed shape: First the whole text in three lines, then key points by section, a definitions table, five memory tricks and five likely exam questions, with the answers apart below.

What a PDF summary does, and what it does not

Opening a whole chapter's PDF the night before an exam can feel impossible to start. A summary and notes work as a map: what the chapter is about, which part is big, which definitions to learn. Open the book after that and you know where to spend the time.

How each kind of PDF is read: text, scanned and old fonts

A PDF with text: one you can select words in is read as text. Only the first part of a very large file is taken, and the chat tells you on the spot; give a chapter, not the whole book
A scanned PDF: one made in a phone scanner app or from photos goes whole as one file, and the AI reads each page as a picture. One message carries up to 12 PDF pages; send screenshots of the rest in the next one

A summary from a link: web pages and YouTube videos

Asking for the summary you want

The button turns on the exam-notes shape. For something else, once the first notes arrive, say in the same chat what you want:

Short: "in five lines" or "in one paragraph", for revision the day before
By points: "three key points for each part", for a look before class
Questions and flashcards: "ten questions and answers from this chapter", to test yourself
Office papers: "what it says, what I must do, by when", for a circular, contract or notice
In another language: "give it in simple Bengali" for an English PDF, or "summarize it in English" for a Bengali one

Give the PDF again for the next question

Something few people know: a file's text is not kept in the chat; only its name and the AI's answer stay. So a request like "now in five lines" works from the earlier notes, but for a question about a part of the PDF the notes did not cover, give the file again. Otherwise the AI may guess.

For the same reason, keep one book or one subject to a chat. Chats on the same subject in one folder are easier to find later.

Check the notes, then print
