Can I make a tailor's memo, a shop banner and a measurement book on my phone?
Yes. Write your shop name, the garments you make and the measurements you take for each, in Bangla. Three steps to a tailor's order book
- Write the garments and measurement fields: Which garments you make and the measurements you take for each, in your shop's words. Say nothing and the usual shirt and trouser fields are there.
- Publish it and keep it on the counter phone: Press "publish free", open the link on the counter phone and add it to the home screen. The builder's preview does not keep entries; the live address does.
- Add your first customer: A customer by name and mobile, then measurements, then an order. The book starts empty; no made-up customer or measurement is put in.
Lose a tailor's book and you lose your customers' measurements
The most valuable thing in a tailor's shop is not the cloth but the measurement book. A regular walks in and says "same as last time", and ten minutes go on turning pages. Before Eid, with orders piling up, keeping in your head which garment is due when and who paid what advance leads to mistakes, and customers keep phoning to ask whether it is ready.
In the phone order book, type a customer's name or number and all their past measurements appear, ready for the next order in one press. On top you see today's and tomorrow's deliveries, with overdue orders in red. When a garment is ready, "tell on WhatsApp" prepares a message to the customer's number saying what is ready and what is due; you check it and send.
Tailor's memo design: what the customer copy carries
- Top: the shop's name, address and phone, as on the signboard
- Order number: the book assigns it; the customer brings it to collect
- Customer name, garments and quantity: like "panjabi 2, pyjama 1"
- Total wage, advance and due: the due is worked out for you, no arithmetic slips
- Delivery date: large, so the customer remembers when to come
- This slip prints from every order, or goes to the customer on WhatsApp as a PDF

The measurement book: which fields for which garment
- Shirt: length, chest, belly, shoulder, sleeve, collar. If you say nothing, the book has these fields.
- Trousers: length, waist, hip, thigh, hem. These are there by default too.
- Panjabi, kameez, blouse, burqa: write the measurements your shop takes, in your own names for them, like neck, cuff, waist. The book builds its fields from your words.
- A notes box: write "narrow collar" or "pocket on the left" beside the measurements.
Tailor's banner and visiting card
Keep the shop-front banner short: the shop name large, one line on what you make, like "gents and ladies, made to order", and the phone number. Before Eid a second banner helps: "Eid orders open, last date", with the date you set. Give the size in feet and ask the shop how big the file must be; more on the banner page.

Where the tailor's book is kept, and what it costs
Making and publishing the book is free, with up to 400,000 free AI Token a day; entering daily measurements and orders needs no AI, so no Token is used. Everything is kept in the browser of the phone you write on. So once a week press "download backup file" and keep the file in your email; on a new phone "restore from backup" brings it all back.
If two people write on two phones, or a worker checks orders on his own phone, you need cloud data: on the Business (14,499 BDT) or Commerce plan, the same book on every phone with a passcode. It is not on a free site or lifetime hosting. Details in the cloud data guide.
Questions about tailor's memos and measurement books
How do I design a tailor's memo?
The order book app makes each order's customer copy itself, to print or save as PDF. For a printed memo book, have the chat design the memo from your shop name, boxes and the press's size, and give the picture to the press.
What fields does a measurement book have?
Shirts: length, chest, belly, shoulder, sleeve, collar; trousers: length, waist, hip, thigh, hem. For other garments, name the measurements you take, and you can add new fields yourself later.
Does this teach how to take measurements?
No. It is a book for recording measurements, not a measuring or cutting course. Measure the way you always do; the book keeps it tidy and brings it back in one press next time.
How do I tell a customer their clothes are ready?
Press "tell on WhatsApp" beside the order and a message to the customer's number is prepared with their name, what is ready and what is due. You check it and send; nothing goes by itself.
If my phone breaks, is the measurement book lost?
Without a backup, yes, because the book lives in the phone's browser. Download the backup file weekly and keep it in email, then restore it on a new phone. With cloud data, the passcode brings it all back.
Do you print tailor's memo books?

What should a tailor's banner say?
